Amistad A True Story of Freedom, the multimedia exhibition that takes you back in time, is now on display at The Connecticut Historical Society. The on-going exhibition explores the Africans‚ revolt on the ship Amistad in 1839, their arrival in New London, the legal trials to determine their freedom, their life in Connecticut, and the local citizens who helped them. Visitors of all ages will enjoy this interactive and multimedia exhibition. Five galleries feature recreated settings, special sound and light effects, and historic artifacts.
