"Testimony of Fuliwa, January 8, 1840, U.S. District Court, Connecticut"

Foulewa [sic]
testified that there were on shore when the brig took them, Grabau, Dammah, Baah, Con, Burnah, Quato, Sinqua, Antonio, Monah, Naquoi, Peah, Shuma, Piquanah, Berrie, Kimbo, Kenna, -- some one side and some other side. We all sailed from Lomboko in same vessel, all but the three little girls Teme, Kane Mahgru, and Carli. They natives of same country. Three moons to Havana, 10 nights at Havana; all kept in [house] together. one potato and 2 plantains to eat in Sch.- I was whipped, and Kimbo for stealing water. Sailors whipped. Pepe told them to. Cook told us they'd kill and eat us. Pepe gave whip to one of the sailors. The Captain killed one black man, before he was killed. Sinqua killed cook because cook said he was going to kill them and eat them. Killed Captain after he killed African.
