Description: Description of District Court proceedings on 20 November, when discussion centered on the question of jurisdiction. After hearing testimony on the location of the Amistad at the time of her capture and hearing testimony from Dr. Madden, the court adjourned until January, at which time Covey would be there to translate for the Africans.
