ARMISTAD [sic] AFRICANS.--The committee, who have from the commencement so nobly
stood by these brethren, having received, perhaps all the information they can reasonably
hope for with respect to the country of these brethren, and the nearest point of
access to it from the coast, have determined to start them for their own, their native
home, “sweet home,” by Sierra Leone, this fall.--They have in view two missionaries
to accompany them. We hope really, that they will both go. These brethren certainly
ought not to return without one, two or more faithful, holy brethren to accompany
them. A better opportunity to give the pure gospel to Africa, never before offered.
The committee are again calling for funds, and in the best of causes too, and we
doubt not the needful sum will be forth coming. Our brethren will no doubt contribute
their part. for farther particulars see notice in another column.
